About Yellow Dog Charters
Captain Pete Tietgens is licensed by the U.S.
Coast Guard and has been fishing the Hudson
River and Lake Ontario in New York for more
than 35 years. Captain Pete took first place in
the 2006 & 2011 Lake Ontario Pro/Am
Tournament, and is a Bass Pro Seminar guest
speaker. In 2007, he appeared on "All Outdoors
with Alan Probst" TV show, featuring striped
bass fishing on the Hudson River.

Chris Tietgens is Captain Pete's wife of 36 years.
Chris is a retired teacher, and enjoys fishing on the
Hudson River with Captain Pete.
The Yellow Dog Charter Boat
The Yellow Dog Charter Boat is a fully equipped, spacious, 26 foot Penn Yan, with a 10 foot beam, and
private facilities. The Yellow Dog was made in New York and specifically designed for Great Lakes
fishing.  It is equipped with state of the art electronics and fishing equipment.

The Penn Yan is named for Abbie, Captain Pete's yellow lab.
